How much do swimming lessons cost in Dubai?

Private, at-home swimming lessons in Dubai generally sit between AED 125 and AED 300 per lesson in 2026. The range is wide because coaches price differently, and because the lesson length sitting behind the headline figure is not always the same.

Rates published across the Dubai market in 2026 include ProFit Swimming at AED 300 per lesson and Swimmers.ae at AED 300 per lesson. Emad Health Club publishes AED 2,300 for a block of ten, which works out at about AED 230 per lesson, or AED 280 as a single drop-in. Aqua-Tots Dubai runs a different model again: a private lesson there is 30 minutes, priced at AED 1,300 a month for four lessons, taught at a fixed centre in Al Quoz for ages four months to twelve years.

Those are published rates rather than an exhaustive survey of every coach in the city, and they change. They are included because they give a family in Dubai an honest sense of the range before anyone quotes them a number.

Lesson lengths in this market run from 30 minutes to a full hour, and a monthly bundle can obscure both the length of a lesson and the number of lessons included.

A worked example makes the point. A monthly package of four 30-minute private lessons at AED 1,300 comes to AED 325 per lesson, which is AED 650 per hour of coaching time. A 60-minute lesson at AED 200 is AED 200 per hour of coaching time.

Both of those are legitimate offers and they are not the same product. A centre-based lesson includes the use of the centre pool, which a mobile coach does not provide, and a shorter lesson can suit a very young child with a short attention span. The point is narrower than that: the headline figure on its own does not tell you what an hour of coaching costs.

Families who already have a pool at their villa, in their building or in their community pay only the lesson price plus travel. That is by far the most common arrangement in Dubai, where shared podium pools and community pools are standard in most residential developments.

This is worth checking with any coach you speak to, not just this one. A quoted lesson price that excludes an unstated travel charge is not really a quote.

Packs are cheaper per lesson because swimming is a skill built by repetition rather than by revelation. A swimmer who comes back every week keeps the feel of the water between sessions, and the coach does not spend the first ten minutes of each lesson rebuilding confidence that faded over a month off.

The four-lesson pack at AED 150 per lesson saves AED 200 against four single lessons. The eight-lesson pack at AED 125 per lesson saves AED 600 against eight single lessons, which is the equivalent of three free lessons.

A pack also changes how the coaching is planned. A single lesson has to be self-contained and useful on its own. A block of eight can be structured, with a clear starting assessment, a sequence of skills in order, and a target for where the swimmer should be at the end.

If you are unsure, the sensible route is one single lesson first, then a pack once you know the coach suits the swimmer.

The lesson price covers the coaching itself and every piece of equipment the session needs. It does not cover travel to your location, or the hire or entry cost of a pool that Rehan arranges on your behalf.

If budget is the deciding factor, the honest advice is to compare price per hour of coaching, not price per session, and to ask three questions of any coach in Dubai before paying.

Ask how long the lesson actually is. Ask whether travel is included or added. Ask whether there is a registration fee, a term commitment or a minimum number of lessons.

Group lessons usually carry a lower headline price than private lessons, and for a confident child who simply needs mileage they can be good value. For a nervous beginner, a group lesson often means a lot of time waiting at the wall, and the cost per minute of real coaching can end up higher than it looks.
